This website project has been a labor of love, with a lot patience thrown in along the way. Always having been fascinated with the photographs, Japanese rifles, and flag my father brought home from Okinawa, the day finally came in 2009 when I decided it was time create a platform to share them.

From hundreds of photos contained in two large albums and two large boxes, I've chosen many to restore and scan and include on this website. More will be scanned and added periodically, therefore, additions and updates will be an ongoing process.

 

I hope this website and its images help to keep this time in history
fresh in our hearts and minds as fewer and fewer WWII vets are
still with us each passing year.
